The Gozzlemonster is a very
strange Bark spider

Bark spiders build normal round spider webs, and sit in the centre of them in the evenings and late afternoons.

During the day most Bark spiders hide by sitting on a branch near their webs and pulling their legs in so that they look like a
piece of old stick (see picture below). That behaviour ensures that birds won't be able to find and eat them.

You can often find these harmless spiders sitting in their webs on the forest trails down the Gwens stream.

Ryan Gosling found this unusual Bark Spider early in the morning, before
it had time to move to a branch to hide for the day.

While not a new species, the Gozzlemonster is certainly one of the
strangest Bark spiders Mr Roff has ever seen. Keep looking guys - if
anyone else sees one like this, please let me know.
